PMS-Poor Me Suffering

Kenny Sia, the ever so interesting blogger, talked about Poor Man Suffering (PMS) some times ago. Guys, please do not blame girls for their PMS time. We do not ask for it. Not all girls throw up a bitch fit, mind you. Everytime that time of the month comes, our energy are sucked away by it. The cramps, the constant contraction of the uterine smooth muscles (myometrium) and the copious loss of blood (comparatively ok? =P) are enough to drive us into a bad mood.

Less blood flow means less haemoglobin, the oxygen carrier, and that means less oxygen to the brain. Thus, our brains can't think as well and can't function as well as usual. Couple with the fluctuation of the hormone levels, even the sweetest girl fail to deliver the sweetest smile at that time of the month. We are victims!! So the last thing we need is for guys to accuse us for taking this as an excuse to lose our temper at them. First of all , there must be something that you all do that triggers such a reaction (albeit an exagerrated one at times) from us right?

Say if you were punctual for the date, or if you do what u promised to, how on earth can we find faults in you??? Absolutely NOT!
Anyway if you are so sweet to us, chances are, we 'tak sampai hati' to even throw our tantrum at you. =P We probably feel guilty with your tolerance with us that we will make up after that time of the month has gone. ^_^ The most we will do is, manja you, complain to you about how hectic everyday is and here we are, suffering and enduring the excruciating pain that is most probably second worse to labour pain.

Signs to tell that she is having that time of the month:
1. when you all go out, she orders some hotdrinks instead of the iced ying yong or iced lemon tea that she usually likes.
2. She wears a black skirt/pants or a dark coloured bottom.
3. She speaks less than her normal self.

So the next time a girl complains to you about how jaded she is or how tired she has been, chance are, she is at that time of the month at the least you could do is, be a listener and comforter! Of course some nice desserts (NOT ice-cream) will do the trick as well!^_^

p/s: I just inspired and persuaded sarah and jason to start a blog. I really hope that anna will join in the world of bloggers too after reading my birthday message to her. haha.
