What does it Take to Go On?

There was a man who failed in his business at 21.
At 22,he lost in competing for the position of senator.
At 24, he failed terribly in his business again.
At 26, his beloved woman passed away.
At 27, he sank into depression.
At 34,he lost in competing for a seat in the member of the Federal Bureau (the bottom line is, he failed in his political field again)
At 36, again he lost in the same competition for the seat.
At 47, he lost after being nominated as Vice President.
At 49, he lost again in the competition for senator.
At 52, he became the 16^th President of the United States of America.

This man was Abraham Lincoln. It was because his belief that God’s delay doesn’t mean God’s refusal, that he could stand up from his failure every time and eventually, attained remarkable success.

Life is like that, what is important is NOT what has happened (the PAST) , but it is what we are going to do to overcome it.
Indeed this is easier said than done, but after listening to the hardship of successful people, I really do wonder what kept them going, what made them carry on with their faith.
Here is to all of US who are working hard for this piece of paper called DEGREE that will determine our future, our gateway to a LIFE. Let's strive together!!

The PAST. I guess everyone has his/her own past. Unpleasant ones that we long to forget, and pleasant ones which we hold dear to our hearts and once in a while, reminisce about them.
Let bygone be bygone; let not what happened last time hold you back from doing what you want now. There is always second chance, and if someone deserves it, why not give her/him the benefit of doubt? Don't look back, look forward.

Like shin said jokingly, 'you may have the past with ahem, I will have the future with ahem'. =) of course shin was kidding!!
